72 Hour Booking Hold Rules in Wichita County
State law controls how long the Wichita County Jail can hold someone after a warrantless arrest. Article 17.033 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure says a misdemeanor arrestee must be released within 24 hours on bond up to $5,000 if no probable cause finding is made.
